GDPR Privacy Policy & Compliance

We are based out of the United States but fully understand the importance of serving a global community. With heavy respect to the important information practices of Europe, here’s our GDPR privacy policy.

Our website, notyourcollegebathroom.com, is one of the online websites that I blog at, and I monetize through the use of affiliate programs and ads. The following policy goes into detail on how my little one-man and freelance operation uses the personal data we collect from you (the website visitor or user) when you use our website.

What data do we collect?

Our Company collects the following data:

  • User actions on the website via Google Analytics and information from Amazon Affiliates via use of cookies

How do we collect your data?

All information currently collected is based around user’s actions on the site including links clicked, pages viewed, resulting sales from Amazon.com via the affiliate program, and nation of where the user is accessing the website from. This information is gathered from cookies and the data we have is through Google Analytics, Amazon Associates, or a listed advertising partner.

We do NOT collect names, personal addresses, sensitive information, or other such data from our users, nor do we collect e-mail addresses.

How will we use your data?

Our Company collects your data so that we can:

  • Locate keywords of interest that we haven’t fully covered and use that to create better information for users
  • Revise older articles and keep them up to date for interested users
  • Study what combination of colors, articles, pictures, and ads actually result in sales
  • Remove low quality ads, products, or articles

We do not keep personal information, nor do we share any information we have with 3rd parties.

How do we store your data?

We do not personally store any of your data. The only data available to us is that available through Google Analytics, Amazon Associates, or any advertising partner using cookies, all of whom are clearly mentioned on this Privacy Page.

What are your data protection rights?

Our Company would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Under the GDPR every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request Our Company for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service, and based on the fact we don’t keep personal data records but rely on information Google, Amazon, and our advertising partners give us, you will likely receive surprisingly little information.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Our Company correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Our Company to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Our Company erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Our Company restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Our Company’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Our Company transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

The Use of Cookies

The main way we collect data is through the use of cookies. These keep track of visitor information such as where the website visitor is from nationally (or even locally), what pages they are visiting, what links get clicked, and this information is stored and used via Google Analytics, Amazon Affiliates, and advertising partners to

Google Analytics Cookie Use & Information

Amazing Outdoor Adventures uses Google Analytics for information on website visitors and to attempt to make their website serve the user better. Google’s cookies gather information to inform, optimize, and can even assist in serving up better ads based on past visits to our site. This means that vendors including Google and any ad partner will display promotional material on other sites you may visit around the Internet.

If you wish you may choose to opt out of Google Analytics by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager (as of this writing located at: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb). This is a service entirely run by Google and gives website visitors freedom to choose how their data is actually collected by Google Analytics. In addition to this Gogole has created an “Opt-Out” browser add-on which can be downloaded to allow easy opt-out of any of Google’s information gathering programs.

Amazon Affiliate Disclaimer:

Here at northernpikefishingtips.com we are an active participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. All links to various products on Amazon.com should be assumed to be affiliate unless otherwise noted. Also be aware that Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

While we may receive information on what was bought, we receive no other data on who bought it – just number of daily clicks to Amazon.com from this website and the items bought (though no information about who bought them). No other data is available to us here.

Advertising Partners

It is possible throughout the life of this website that we will work with advertising partners. As this takes place those advertising partners will likely use cookies to track the performance of their ads and use that data to provide better ads for your specific needs. The specific data restrictions and actions of these partners present and future will be updated when doing business with them.

Display Ads

In the future we may be using display ads, in which case we will update this here. Different ad providers will have different policies but you always have the ability to opt-in or out of display ad providers.

If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices to opt-in or opt-out of this data collection, please visit http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

Rest assured we still work to protect your privacy. If there is any additional areas that need to be covered or you have any further concerns please feel free to contact us via our Contact Us page or by e-mailing us at: admin@notyourcollegebathroom.com .
